Pimp My Facade is a project focused on transforming urban facades and addressing the debate around heritage conservation versus redevelopment.
For Pimp My Facade, I created a UX design that transformed urban facades into interactive and engaging experiences. The goal was to encourage user interaction with a building that was set to be demolished, sparking a debate about whether to preserve and renovate it or to proceed with demolition and reconstruction of the historical structures in its place. This student-led project tackled the highly political controversy surrounding the site, weighing the value of heritage conservation against modern redevelopment. Through our design, we sought to create an interactive platform that highlighted both perspectives, fostering public engagement and dialogue. Ultimately, the project gained significant recognition and was even featured on the cover of the local newspaper.
